As you sow, So shall you reap!
Ravi was a young boy who lived in a small village. He was very intelligent, but he had a bad habit. He often cheated people and never cared about others. His father, a humble farmer, always advised him to be honest and kind.
One day, his father said, "Ravi, remember one thing in life. As you sow, so shall you reap. Good deeds bring good results, and bad deeds bring bad results."
Ravi smiled and replied, "Father, people only care about success. Nobody worries about how it is achieved."
His father shook his head and said, "You will understand this truth one day."
A few months later, Ravi started a fruit business. Instead of selling fresh fruits, he mixed rotten fruits with good ones to earn more money. Many customers trusted him and bought fruits from his shop.
One afternoon, an old woman came to buy some mangoes.
"Son, are these mangoes fresh?" she asked politely.
"Of course, Grandma," Ravi answered with a smile. "You will love them."
The old woman thanked him and went away. However, when she reached home, she found that several mangoes were rotten. She felt disappointed but said nothing.
Soon, other customers also discovered that Ravi had cheated them. They became angry and stopped visiting his shop. Within a few weeks, his business suffered heavy losses.
One evening, Ravi sat outside his shop with tears in his eyes. His friend Mohan saw him and asked, "Why are you so upset?"
"No one buys fruits from me anymore," Ravi replied sadly.
Mohan looked at him and said, "People trusted you, but you broke their trust. Trust is difficult to earn and easy to lose."
Ravi realized that his greed had ruined his reputation. He remembered his father's words and felt ashamed.
The next morning, he went to his father and said, "Father, you were right. I have made a big mistake. Please forgive me."
His father smiled and replied, "It is never too late to change. Learn from your mistakes and become a better person."
Ravi decided to start again. This time, he sold only fresh fruits and treated every customer with honesty and respect.
One day, the same old woman returned to his shop.
"Grandma," Ravi said politely, "I am sorry for cheating you before. I promise that it will never happen again."
The old woman smiled and said, "Everyone makes mistakes, my son. What matters is that we learn from them."
Gradually, people began to trust Ravi again. His business improved, and he became known as the most honest fruit seller in the village.
From then on, Ravi always remembered his father's advice and taught the same lesson to others.
Moral: As you sow, so shall you reap. Our actions, whether good or bad, always return to us. Therefore, we should be honest, kind, and helpful to others.
